Rosselli Brings in Switch Nijenhuis


NORMAN – Oklahoma wrestling head coach Lou Rosselli has introduced the signing of sophomore switch Gerrit Nijenhuis from Purdue. 

Nijenhuis joins the Sooners after compiling a powerful resume in two seasons for the Boilermakers. He certified for the NCAA event at each 165 (2021) and 174 kilos (2022) and was named Purdue’s Most Excellent Freshman in 2021.

“We’re excited to have Gerrit as part of Sooner nation,” Rosselli stated. “He’s a hard-nosed, Pennsylvania wrestler and I look ahead to working with him. He will probably be addition to the workforce.”
