Man Cheated Of Rs 10 Lakh On Promise Of Jobs To His Sons: Police

Police have registered a case towards an individual for allegedly duping a person of Rs 10.10 lakh in Maharashtra’s Nagpur metropolis by promising jobs to his two sons within the railways, an official mentioned on Sunday.

The case towards Dharendra Singh Gaur (57), a resident Sitabuldi space within the metropolis, was registered based mostly on a criticism lodged by Ravindra Bawankar (53), who lives on Somwar Bazar street, he mentioned.

“The accused informed the sufferer that he had good connections with senior railway officers and promised to present jobs to his two sons. Believing his promise, the sufferer paid a complete of Rs 10.10 lakh to Gaur between 2019 and June 2022,” the official of Sitabuldi police station mentioned.

Nevertheless, when the sufferer realised that he has been conned, he approached the police and lodged a criticism.

An offence beneath Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 420 (dishonest) and 406 (prison breach of belief) was registered towards the accused, he mentioned.
