Carleton College, College of Ottawa set to renew in-person studying


College students and college will return to campus for in-person studying on the College of Ottawa and Carleton College this winter.

Ottawa’s two universities have introduced that the campuses will re-open for in-person programs and actions.

College of Ottawa college students will return to campus on Jan. 31, whereas Carleton College will resume in-person studying on Feb. 7.

Each universities moved courses on-line following the vacation break because of the rise of instances related to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.


In a letter to college students late Wednesday afternoon, uOttawa President and Vice-Chancellor Jacques Fremont says the return to campus will start on Jan. 31 for college kids and professors.

“Data we’ve got obtained so far from provincial and municipal public well being authorities is unequivocal,” stated Fremont.

“The message is evident: below present situations, we will envisage a return to campus in individual beginning January 31, as long as preventative measures are adopted always, together with necessary vaccination, masking and bodily distancing of two metres, together with different public well being and security suggestions.
