The Alexis and Laurence Pelosi Endowed Internship Fund supplies monetary assist to undergraduate and graduate college students from throughout the Georgetown neighborhood whose distinctive background or private experiences, when evaluated holistically, would contribute to diversifying the sphere(s) of politics, public service, and/or the media.

It’s the mission of the McCourt Faculty’s Institute of Politics and Public Service to organize younger leaders to enter public service. The funding can be used to supply monetary assist to chose college students who’ve secured an unpaid internship or internship with a nominal stipend within the discipline(s) of: politics, media, authorities, public service, and journalism. The Fund will present a one-time stipend of $3,000. The Institute of Politics and Public Service will present particular talent constructing workshops to the cohort of scholars over the summer time.

Recipients Should Commit To:

  1. Take part in a three-part collection of abilities constructing workshops and  a one-time gathering with donors, Alexis and Laurence Pelosi.
  2. Be prepared to collaborate with GU Politics digital media employees to seize their summer time expertise by means of a wide range of social media platforms.

Eligibility:

  1. College students have to be present Georgetown college students who can be returning to courses for the Fall 2022 semester. 
  2. College students should have secured an unpaid internship or internship with a nominal stipend for summer time 2022. The supply have to be in writing from the employer. 
  3. The internship have to be within the fields of politics, media, authorities, public service and/or journalism.
